Chair of NLD Management Board

This volunteer role is subject to a term limit of 3 years with the post holder being eligible to continue for a 2nd term of 3 further years should they wish to stand again. Jeff Mapp, the present incumbent, has indicated his willingness to stand for a 2nd term but within NLD, we have a transparent application process that is open to everyone should they feel they have the skills, drive and determination to succeed in the role.

A copy of the role description is attached. It is a pivotal role in ensuring that the Management Board, through its various committees and sub-committees, is delivering the support and programmes to enable rugby to expand and develop all involved in it across NLD. The Management Board works alongside NLD RFU’s Board of Directors.

All applications will be reviewed by a small group of Management Committee members with the next stage being an interview where considered appropriate. The preferred candidate will then be proposed to NLD members at the Annual General Meeting towards the end of June in accordance with NLD RFU’s constitution with the 3 years term commencing 1 July 2025.
