U13s Derbyshire Schools Rugby Festival

On Thursday 30th November, Derby RFC hosted the Derbyshire Schools Rugby festival for U13s students.

6 Schools from across the county participated, with 87 players taking part. The festival saw a mix of students from club players to students who had never played competitive rugby before.

We would like to thank the referees from NLD society who supported the officiating of the competition and were on hand to help guide the newer players so they had a positive experience of playing.

This competition was part of a new series of festivals for Derbyshire schools to participate in, with the U15s competition taking place the week before.

There will be a series of 7’s festivals taking place in April, for schools to participate in, so students have competitive rugby throughout the year.
