2nd XV Cup Results

A big thanks to all the clubs and teams for what was a very exciting and entertaining 2nd XV Finals Day at Newark.

What started as a dull overcast morning was completed in a bright sunny evening with a thriller of a game.

Four games that epitomised what community grassroots rugby is all about.

Many thanks to all those travelling supporters who made for such a vibrant, if very noisy, atmosphere for all the games. I’m sure that there were still Lincoln and Stamford folks there at the close of the day.

A special call out goes to the Nottinghamshire Constabulary Therapist Kerensa, for her support when one of the Moderns players was injured in the last minute of the Cup match.

We also shouldn’t forget Leesbrook who stayed to the very end and beyond – mainly due to the fact that their coach broke down so they had to wait for a replacement one to arrive.

Many thanks to Newark RFC for all their hard work hosting and supporting the day.

Finally, congratulations to four of our finalists – Bingham, Nottingham Moderns, Leesbrook and Bingham who have been accepted into the MROC / RFU Counties 3 Leagues next season.
