Nottingham Corsairs – Doug Hendry
It is with regret that we share the sad news that Nottingham Corsairs’ Chairman, Doug Hendry sadly lost his battle with cancer on Friday 20th October.
Doug had been the cornerstone of the club since he returned as Chairman 12 years ago having originally set up the Minis and Junior section of the club back in the 1970’s over at Ireland Avenue in Beeston.
He worked tirelessly for the benefit of the club and its members and his passing leaves a void at the club that will be difficult to fill.
Doug’s funeral will be on Tuesday 14th November at 10:45am at Rushcliffe Oaks Crematorium, followed by a reception at Rushcliffe Golf Club at 12:30pm
The family have asked that club ties and/or blazers are worn rather than black suits. No flowers but donations to Leukaemia UK.
