Hot Weather guidance from RFU Midlands ROC

This weekend we are expected to see temperatures hit 30!! The welfare of everyone involved in the game should be at the forefront of our minds and as such I would like to ensure we are all appropriately prepared.

Games / Training

Additional water breaks to be included every 20 minutes – For players and Refs

Shaded area to be used where possible

Appropriate sunscreen to be used – Reapply at half time / during training.

Sufficient water & Electrolytes to be available for all.

Suggestions:

Ice towels / ice buckets

Gazebo next to the training field, for shading areas.

Extra water bottles

Consideration for spectators/ parents, ensuring they have access to Hydration.

We want this weekend to be enjoyable for all so let’s see what we can do to ensure the weather does not hinder that enjoyment.
