New Head Coach of U16s Girls DPP appointed

We are delighted to announce the appointment of James Hamilton as Head Coach of our new U16 Girls Developing Player Programme (DPP). Launching in September, the NLD DPP Centre will offer top class skills development sessions for girls over 10 midweek sessions through the season.

James said, “I am delighted to be chosen as the Lead Coach for the NLD Girls DPP. As a Level 3 coach, I have managed numerous amateur and elite sports programs, most recently as Head Coach of Leicester Tigers’ Development Programme.

“Currently, I serve as Director of Rugby at Nottingham High School. We currently field around 16 Teams from ages U12 to U18. Most recently we won the National Schools Bowl, which has to be one of the highlights of my career. In addition to overseeing the rugby program, I am also a PE and Games teacher who works with both boys and girls.

“The opportunity to lead the NLD Girls DPP is a fantastic one and a challenge which I am looking forward to. It is my vision for the NLD Girls DPP to become a model for others counties to follow. As part of our vision, we are in the process of creating a team of highly experienced coaches, who will be able to deliver high-quality and enjoyable sessions to all who take part.”
