March 2023 – Volunteer of the Month
The winner of the O’Neills NLD Volunteer of the Month Award for March 2023 is Rob Scothern
Rob is a member of Bakewell Mannerians RFC, but he has been nominated by Buxton RUFC for his great support to Buxton in helping the club promote their Age grade section.
He has welcomed Buxton RUFC to join in with his training sessions and organised friendly touch matches. It’s been a great experience for the children and also the parents.
Rob has also arranged for Bakewell to visit Buxton so their young members could host a morning of games. He is so passionate about getting the youngsters enjoying rugby and his enthusiasm is infectious.
The Children from both clubs have the upmost respect for him. It’s really wonderful that neighbouring clubs can have this relationship.
