Disciplinary Team Update – May 2025

The Disciplinary team have provided the following important updates and reminders…

Unfortunately, though we are running into the close of the season Red Cards and other disciplinary case continue to arrive on a weekly basis.

The Panel are working hard to clear such cases so that sanctions can be resolved promptly delays in Club processes mean it can take some time to provide those involved with their sanction which can be frustrating for them.

It should be noted that for Citings and 5.12 cases the sanction doesn’t start until the Panel’s decision whereas Red Card start from the date it was issued by the Referee.

It should be noted that going forward any cases appearing before Panel from now is likely to mean that their sanction will carry across the summer recess and delay those individual’s restart in the season.

It is up to the Club to ensure that any Club notifies the Discipline Secretary of any ‘warm u’ fixture they wish to claim against the sanctions. Only meaningful fixtures will count which means but is not limited to recognisable opposition with an allocated Society Match Official; internal Club fixtures don’t count. The Discipline Secretaries decision is final on this matter.
