NLD U17 Boys’ Trial

We are pleased to announce this season’s trials will be held on Sunday 6th April in the afternoon, venue to be advised.

To qualify for the trials players need to of been born between 1st September 2007 and 31st August 2008.

Players who were in the Tigers DPP programme get an automatic invitation.   (We do have a list from Tigers with contact details, but players/parents should check their email inboxes & Spam box between the 9th and 13th March for the invitation), with timings and venue being confirmed between the 25th and 31st March.

We are asking each Club/School/College to nominate one Forward and one Back, these must be players you consider have the potential to play for Midlands.

Nominees need to be aware of the following dates and be available for the majority of them:

NLD U17s trials Sunday 6th April

Training is held on Monday evenings at 7pm starting on the 14th April

Fixtures are on held on either Fridays or Sundays in May TBA

The squad will move into U18s the following season with Training starting back in October on Monday evenings.

Squad trial fixture will be held at the end of November before the main program of Midlands fixtures.

Midlands fixtures –  to be considered for Midlands players must play in at least 2 out of the 3 games.

Any player invited to join the Midlands Squad needs to be available for all their programme dates held from the middle of January to the end of February 2026, this season saw the selected players attend Trails for Coventry RFC academy as part of the program.
