Disciplinary Team Update – March 2025
The Disciplinary team have provided the following important updates and reminders…
A couple of prompts in the event that the worst should happen and one of your players is either given a Red Card or Cited.
If, for any reason, the wrong name appears on the paperwork it is in both the actual player’s and Club’s interests to notify the Panel immediately and get that resolved.
This means that the incorrectly identified player can return to play more promptly and the actual individual’s case expedited. I‘m sure that you don’t want the case to overrun and impact the Cup season or the start of next season.
I’m sure that the message has got across about Clubs handling their internal process promptly but we do note some delays in some areas. That doesn’t work to the player of Club’s benefit.
Finally, with credit to those Clubs that get their internal processes completed, that even if the player has completed the suspension period that you have decided upon they may not play until the decision reached by the Panel is announced and sent to you with a ‘Return to Play’ date.
