Competitions Team Update – March 2025

The Cups and Merit Leagues are progressing even if slowly at times.

We will be expecting all our Merit League 1 Clubs / Teams to fully complete their schedules as they are seeking to advance to RFU Leagues next season and that is a pre-requisite for them.

We have reached that stage of the season when the gaps have mostly disappeared so if you’re in a Cup, at whatever level, you need to focus on fulfilling fixtures otherwise you seriously risk the disappointment of your fixture being decided by the toss of coin which has recently occurred.

As I circulated a few weeks ago there are some anomalies around the automatic awarding of Bonus Points in the Merit League. So far investigation shows that it is limited to a couple of specific Clubs / Team however if it does affect you please let me know using this Feedback Form – https://forms.office.com/e/r2Ueme6uAM

We now have Ben in place and working on the NLD’s Social Rugby options and he has some planned for next month so I’ll post details in the WhatsApp group over the next couple of weeks when confirmed.
