Players from teams across the NLD came together on Saturday to play in Vets Fest, A Wooden Spoon Charity competition.
The Wooden Spoon is a rugby charity that raises a serious amount of money every year for so many in need.
The NLD started off slowly losing in game 1 to eventual winners Kent,
Before edging out Bristol Bath and Somerset in game 2, and finishing off the group stage win against Eastern counties.
With progress to the Plate Semi Finals assured and after a short break a 24-10 win meant the chance for silverware was a whisker away, alas Tournament hosts Surrey proved a little to strong winning by 22-14.
A great day enjoyed by all, massive thanks go out to all managers and coaches for the time put in!…
