RugbySafe Team Update – May 24

Following the recent Club RugbySafe Leads meeting, a “How to use the Proactive App” webinar has been scheduled for 7.30PM on Tues 14 May 2024.

The webinar will be of interest to Club First Aiders, Coaches, Senior Team Captains, players, parents and anybody who may use it within your Clubs.

Simply dial in on the night and the presenter will admit you.

As a reminder, Proactive is a reporting app that allows quick and easy reporting of risk management issues affecting everyday sport activities.

As announced last month, NLD RFU will pay for NLD clubs to use the Proactive Reporting system for rugby, including the RugbySafe HEADCASE Concussion Tracker (video has no sound), designed in partnership with the RFU RugbySafe Team.

Clubs should use the above QR code (or this link) to get access to the app for the 2024/25 season.

As reported last month, the RugbySafe team, in conjunction with Safeguarding, have developed an NLD Risk Assessment Form for Tournaments, Festivals and Tours.

Organisers are reminded to send a copy of completed forms to [email protected].

Clubs are reminded that the issuing of First Aid Vouchers end this season, so clubs should contact [email protected] as soon as possible to apply for vouchers (vouchers remain valid and usable beyond the end of the season).

The RugbySafe team can help link clubs up if they don’t have the numbers for a course in their own right and they can be used for individuals attending a course elsewhere.
