Disciplinary Team Updates – October 2023

The Disciplinary Team have provided the following updates for October 2023…

An increase in Red Cards and Match Official Abuse has been reported this season as a result of which it has been decided to increase the number of face-to-face sessions available to promptly handle such occurrences. The Disciplinary Panel is now meeting face to face on alternative Tuesdays.

It is to all Club’s benefit and potentially enable a prompt return to play of the cited player for Clubs to manage their internal disciplinary processes in a timely fashion – you should try to conduct immediately after the weekend and get to the Disciplinary Secretary so that they can handled and return to play not delayed; it should be remembered that the player can not return to play until the NLD process has been completed.

Face-to-face panel meetings are the norm except for where an individual pleads guilty and agrees to the matter being addressed on papers only basis. Face-to-face does include an online option if mutually agreed.

Please remember that the cost of undergoing the Disciplinary procedures is now £50. The Club will be invoiced for this after a decision is issued. It is the responsibility of the relevant club to recover this from the individual / individuals as appropriate.
