Earlier this week Lincolnshire Community Rugby Coach Nathan Smith attended Boston College to deliver a touch rugby session to some of the students. It is part of a programme between the RFU and Boston College that not only focusses on rugby but also on Leadership & Coaching skills. With one of the biggest target areas in youth rugby the 16-24 age bracket this was a great opportunity to engage young people within the game.
Lincolnshire Rugby Development Officer Gareth Short said ‘It is always good to work with colleges and deliver coaching sessions to the students. The atmosphere is always really enjoyable and hopefully we can encourage players to get involved in the sport outside of college hours as well.’
