Great News! Young people within NLD have the opportunity to be selected as a part of the local Young Officials Programme run by NLD RFU in partnership with England Rugby.

What is the Young Officials Programme?

  • Fantastic opportunity to work with other young people in the sport and develop as an official
  • Open to ALL Young People aged 14-18 years
  • Develop your Officiating skills through training and mentoring
  • Grow your knowledge, experience & confidence as a player as well as an official

What’s on Offer?

  • Work towards and complete your Level 2 Referee Course
  • Officiate at a number of fixtures throughout the Season, supporting your club and RFU competitions
  • Young Officials Kit Package
  • Additional Rewards
  • Monitor your progress in your Official RFU Log Book
  • Fantastic addition to any CV!

Training Event: Tuesday 25th, Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th October 2016, 9.00am – 3.00pm

Samworth Church Academy, Sherwood Hall Road, Mansfield NG18 2DY.

There is the choice of the following courses;

Level 1 Kids First Refereeing Children Thursday 27th October, 9.00am-3.00pm
Refereeing the Tackle CPD Thursday 27th October, 9.00am-3.00pm (booking details to be circulated shortly)
Level 2 Refereeing Course Tuesday 25th, Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th October 2016, 9.00am – 3.00pm

If you would like to be considered for a place on the programme and are able to attend the Training Event, please book directly onto the courses by clicking the following links.  Places are limited and on a first come first served basis. There will be no cost to young people within who sign up and commit to the programme.

If you have already completed your Level 1 qualification then you are eligible for the Level 2 course.  If you have not yet completed any refereeing qualifications then you are able to apply for either, however it would be recommended only to go straight into the Level 2 course if you already have some refereeing experience and confidence.
