Last week two valued NLD Volunteers had the opportunity to go to the Mitsubishi Motors Training Centre at Pennyhill Park to watch the England Squad train ahead of their opening RBS Six Nations clash with France.
The offer was part of the extensive list of opportunities offered by England Rugby, Mitsubishi Motors and NLD RFU to say ‘thank you’ to volunteers who work tirelessly within grassroots rugby to support the game.
West Bridgford RFC’s Dilwyn Evans commented ‘It was a fascinating day which I really enjoyed. The RFU staff and the England players made us all feel welcome which more than compensated for the bad weather.’
Darren Dolby from Stamford RFC also enjoyed the day – despite the rain making his selfie taking opportunities a little more tricky!

NLD keep a live database of volunteers to be nominated for opportunities that arise. If there is anyone who you feel is worthy of a volunteer recognition opportunity in your club then email their Name, Role, Email & a brief description of why they deserve to be recognised to Nicole Brown.
