Sunday 1.5.22 saw 27 players from the NLD Senior Women Squad, (tier 3), host Leicestershire, (tier1), for a pre- campaign friendly at Long Eaton RFC.
This was NLD Women’s first game since 2019 and despite not taking the win it proved to be an entertaining and competitive game with no quarter given by either side.
This season the NLD Senior Women’s squad comprises 40 players from 22 clubs across the 3 Counties.

We are looking forward to our 1st round Gill Burn Cup match on the 8th May at Long Eaton RFC, 2pm KO, against Oxfordshire. We then host Cumbria at Long Eaton RFC, 2pm KO on the 15.5.22 and travel to Staffordshire on the 22.5.22 for the final round. We would love to see anyone and everyone at all three rounds to cheer on the NLD Senior Women’s team to success.
