NLD Youth Council Relaunch

The Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire (NLD) Youth Council is looking for new members. The Youth Council was established in 2018 with an aim to give young people a voice in rugby across NLD.

The Youth Council is made up of like minded individual passionate about the game of rugby be it as players, referees, coaches, club volunteers or coordinators.

Members can become involved in all sorts of projects from organising festivals and celebrations of rugby through to directing new initiative and schemes in NLD. Representatives sit on the NLD Management committee and help direct the future vision of rugby across the three counties.

Members can gain experience in:

·         Leadership and communication

·         Community organisation

·         Event planning and management

·         Finance and budgeting

Past members have even gone on to join the National Youth Council representing young people across England.

The Youth Council is project focused and works to better engage and provide for young people, it requires voluntary commitment to attend meetings and workshops representing the views of other young people. It might also mean becoming involved in whatever events and project members want to organise.

The youth council wants to hear from anyone aged 16-25 passionate about rugby that could be interested in joining at a forum to learn more about what’s involved on 8th November 2021 – 1900, email [email protected] to join the session.
