East Retford Head Coach Vacancy

East Retford RUFC are looking for a new Senior Head Coach with immediate effect.

With our first team recently promoted to Midlands 3 East (North) (Level 8) and our second team playing in the Pennant league (Level 10) we are in an exciting position and are looking for the right candidate to help us
maintain this upward momentum. The club is looking to continue to develop and move to a higher level of playing for the senior teams. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious coach who wants to play a key role in developing the Club and delivering on its vision to promote and expand the game within the community.

The Candidate will have a track record of coaching successful teams and understands how to get the best of players of all abilities and experience. They must be someone who can lead a positive culture and inspire others around them, with the aim of improving playing standards within the club while helping the committee deliver on the club’s targets. The club is closely aligned with the RFU core values and considers itself to be an integral part of the local community.

Whilst this role is for a Senior Head Coach, the ideal candidate will communicate effectively with the junior section to ensure successful transition of young players into the senior squad.

Ideally qualified to England Rugby Coaching Award (previously Level 2 Coaching), we would encourage &
support progression to the RFU Advanced Coaching Award. Time commitment would be Tuesday & Thursday evening training sessions and matchdays. All out-of-pocket and training expenses will be covered, as well as all relevant CPD expenses.

Responsibilities would include:
• Plan and lead training sessions.
• Team selection.
• Management of 1
st XV on matchdays (or 2nd XV if there is no 1st XV game).
• Design & implement a coach development plan and lead on coach development.
• Take a player centred approach and take an active role towards player welfare & development.
