NLD Volunteer of the Quarter – Colin Baker

The hard work of one of Matlock RFC’s volunteers has been recognised as Colin Baker has been named NLD Volunteer of the Quarter. It is a fitting reward for Colin, who has worked tirelessly for the benefit of Matlock since the early 1970’s.  Following on from his playing career he has held many roles within the club, including that of Club Referee, Secretary and can now be found most weeks, braving the elements, while photographing the Club matches.

Russ Boyack who nominated Colin on behalf of the club commented; ‘Everyone at Matlock RFC & Derbyshire RFU are delighted that Colin has been selected as NLD’s Volunteer of the Quarter, he has been a huge part of the club for over 40 years and has held all manner of roles in that time’.

Colin will be awarded with his chosen recognition of Love2Shop vouchers at a Club event later this Spring.

If you have a club volunteer that you feel goes above & beyond please nominate them via email to [email protected] for recognition opportunities in the three counties.
