West Bridgford Players Make the Move to Senior Rugby!
This season saw eleven West Bridgford RFC Colts players transition into Senior Rugby at the club. All made multiple appearances for the senior section with some also being regulars in the first team.
Continuing with their transition, some players will move onto University Rugby next season with others continuing in the seniors at West Bridgford.
This week Transition Ties were presented to Adam Williamson, George Preston, Rueben Shrestha, Natty Brisco, Jake Hicklin, George Harris, Rob Towndrow, Elliot Fryer, Matty Barrs, Jack Harmer and Bryn Appleton (not pictured)
Nigel Malik, Head of Colts and Transition at West Bridgford commented “We are pleased to see so many Colts moving into senior rugby. The seniors are very supportive and we have a structure in place to ensure the development and safety of the player comes before any demands of the senior teams. Colts integrate with senior squads in training, building confidence and learning from each other. Players have to be assessed as ready and are managed responsibly”.
