Ben Usher Into England Counties U18’s

Following the Divisional Festival held over the last weekend at Loughborough University, Newark and NLD player Ben Usher has been selected to represent the England Counties U18 Squad.

Ben will now participate in the International Preparation weekends and, along with the rest of the squad, will take part in the International Festival in April.

Ben has been part of the NLD U18’s squad for two years and commented; “it’s been a pleasure to play for the squad and I can’t thank all the coaches enough for their help and advice that got me the call up!”

Ben is currently attending the Priory Academy LSST and plays his club rugby for the First XV at Newark.

NLD Head Coach, Nathan Smith, was delighted to hear of Ben’s selection and said; “Ben is a great example to young, ambitious rugby players and it demonstrates that dedication, hard work and a large dose of talent can help players achieve success at the highest level.”

The Tri-Nations International Festival takes place in early April at Hartpury College and the whole of the NLD wishes Ben every success in the international rugby arena.”
