Trial Dates
U15/Year 10 Saturday 11th September
U14/Year 9 Saturday 18th September
U13/Year 8 Saturday 25th September
All Trials will take place at Kesteven RUFC (9.30am – 12.30pm)
Players already involved in either the NLD School of Rugby or EPDG Squads are not eligible to participate in the NLD County Squad Programme & should therefore not be nominated.
Club Coaches/School Teachers may nominate up to 4 players that they believe are of a suitable standard to play County Squad Rugby using the Nomination form below. Nomination forms should be sent via e-mail to nathansmith@therfu.com. The e-mail subject should be clearly marked Lincolnshire County Squad Nominations.
Nominations must be received 72 hours prior to the Trial dates above.
Coaches/Teachers who believe they have more than 4 players of a suitable standard to play County Rugby should ring Nathan Smith, RFU Community Rugby Coach/Lincolnshire County Squads Co-ordinator on 07921 283223 to discuss additional nominations. Any queries regarding the Lincolnshire County Squad Programme should be sent to Nathan at nathansmith@therfu.com.
The NLD County Programme is now established as the 1st step on the NLD Player Development pathway leading on to Schools of Rugby & EPDG Squads before culminating in the NLD U16 Squad Programme for players of that age group.

NLD COUNTY SQUADS COACHING/MANAGING OPPORTUNITIES 2010
NLD RFU are now seeking 2 additional Volunteer Coaches and a Manager for Lincolnshire County Squads. RFU Level 2 licensed Coaches or Level 1 licensed Coaches committed to achieving L2 within 12 months are invited to apply.
The NLD County Squad programme runs for 3 months from Trials in September, up to 6 Squad Training Sessions through to a County Squads Festival on November 14th. The NLD County Programme is now established as the 1st step on the NLD Coach Development pathway leading on to Schools of Rugby & NLD representative Squads. County Squad Coach & Manager appointments are made for 2 seasons in line with NLD RFU policy
Candidates will be able to work as part of a coaching team focussed on developing players & delivering high quality well planned sessions. Successful Coach candidate’s will be looking to develop their coaching skills & must be committed to Continual Professional Development (CPD) as part of the Coach Licence Pilot Scheme currently taking place in the Midlands East Region
As highly valued members of the NLD Player Development Team NLD RFU subsidise the cost of County Coaches attending the hugely successful 2 day Midlands Coaching Conference each year providing coaches with opportunities to observe leading national & Premiership Academy coaches delivering sessions. Other Coach Development opportunities are also available Coaches will receive high quality Gilbert/Samurai NLD Player Development Team clothing & reasonable travel expenses will also be reimbursed
Coaches with sons involved in County Squads will be allocated to other age groups
Managers will receive on the job training/support from the County Squad Co-ordinators
